Tony nominee and Seminar star Lily Rabe will return for season two of the hit FX drama series American Horror Story, according to Deadline.com. Rabe starred as Nora in the first season of the horror series. Co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, filming of the series' second season will begin in July.
Rabe will join Evan Peters and fellow stage veterans Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange and Zachary Quinto in the new season. The first season of American Horror Story centered on the Harmon family, who move into a haunted mansion. In season one, Rabe played the wife of surgeon Charles Montgomery, who originally built the mansion. “Everyone is playing the opposite of what they played before,” said Murphy of Rabe and the returning cast members. No further information about Rabe’s role in season two has been announced.
Rabe currently stars as aspiring novelist Kate in Seminar. She has also appeared on Broadway in The American Plan, Heartbreak House, Steel Magnolias and The Merchant of Venice, for which she earned a Tony nomination. In June, Rabe will star as Rosalind in the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of As You Like It.
